What happens when you import
Folders survive
Outline groups in your OPML become Gazette folders with the same names. Nested groups are flattened to their top-level name.
Up to 2,000 feeds at once
Large libraries import in one go. Feeds you already follow are skipped, duplicates are collapsed by normalized URL.
Seven days of history
Each imported feed starts with the last week of items unread, so you land in a full paper rather than a blank one.
No caps, no tiers
Follow as many sources as the file contains. There is no free-plan ceiling that stops the import halfway.
Export any time
Settings → Export OPML gives you a fresh file with your current folders. Your data is never locked in.
Then add what RSS never had

Export from your current reader
Feedly: Settings → OPML. Inoreader: Preferences → Import/Export. NetNewsWire: File → Export Subscriptions. The Old Reader and NewsBlur: Settings → Import/Export.

OPML questions
- Which readers can I import from?
- Any reader that exports OPML: Feedly, Inoreader, NetNewsWire, Reeder, The Old Reader, NewsBlur, Feedbin, FreshRSS, Miniflux, Tiny Tiny RSS and most others. Gazette reads standard OPML 1.0 and 2.0 outlines with xmlUrl attributes.
- Do my folders come across?
- Yes. Each outline group becomes a folder with the same name. Feeds outside any group land at the top level, and you can move them into folders from Settings afterwards.
- Is there a limit?
- A single import can contain up to 2,000 feeds. Beyond that, split the file. There is no cap on how many sources your account can follow in total.
- Will I see old items?
- Each imported feed starts with the last seven days of items unread. Older history is not backfilled.
- Can I export again later?
- Yes. Settings → Export OPML gives you a fresh file with your current folders at any time, and your account can be deleted on request.
- Does Gazette import read state or starred items?
- Not from OPML, which only carries subscriptions. If you use a Google Reader compatible app such as NetNewsWire or Reeder, Gazette's sync API keeps read state in sync going forward.
